  • The Haviland Museum. Located within the historic Newbill-McElhiney House, in historic St. Charles.

  • The Missouri Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. In July of 1980, 25 dedicated World War II aviation enthusiasts formed a squadron of the Commemorative Air Force in St. Louis, Missouri.

  • The Lewis & Clark Boat House and Nature Center. Situated beside the Missouri River at Bishop's Landing in charming historic St. Charles, Missouri, the educational facility features exhibits relating to the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as the Missouri River ecosystem.

  • National Great Rivers Museum. Each year millions of people travel to the Mississippi River to learn about its history and its impact on our nation. The National Great Rivers Museum at Melvin Price Locks and Dam is dedicated to telling the story of the Mississippi River.

  • St Charles County Historical Society. The St. Charles County Historical Society founded in 1956 and incorporated in 1958. It is dedicated to the preservation of documents and artifacts related to our county history. The Society encourages interest in the rich history of the county.

  • Saint Charles Dart League. (SCDL) began in 1980 or 1981 and is restricted by its By-Laws to the County of Saint Charles, Missouri

  • St. Peters Athletic Association. St. Peters Athletic Association ("SPAA") is a non-profit organization dedicated to firmly implanting in the boys & girls of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority. The SPAA attempts to provide an environment that will also remain sensitive to the physical and emotional well being of the boys and girls in the program.

  • Disabled Athlete Sports Association. DASA provides year-round sport activities with quarterly family and friend events. The programs are instructed by volunteer coaches whom have taken the American Coaching Effectiveness Program. A variety of sports are offered: such as Basketball, Swimming, Track and Road Racing, Golf, Martial Arts, Archery, Sled Hockey, Rock Climbing, Stand-up Soccer, and Power Soccer.

Parks & Recreations

  • Katy Trail State Park. Katy Trail State Park offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages and interests. Whether you are a bicyclist, hiker, nature lover or history buff, the trail offers opportunities for recreation, a place to enjoy nature and an avenue to discover the past.

  • Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park. In 1804, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark began their journey up the Missouri River at the confluence of the two great rivers of North America, the Missouri and Mississippi. Today, visitors can watch as the Big Muddy and Mighty Mississippi merge into one at Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones - Confluence Point State Park.

  • St Charles County Parks and Recreation. St Charles County strives to meet the needs for delivery of recreation facilities and services that nurture healthy lifestyles for people who live, visit, and enjoy our County.

  • City of St Charles Parks and Recreation. The St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department proudly serves our residents with 19 parks comprised of 660 acres. We are committed to providing quality park facilities for your enjoyment and experience.

  • City of St Peters Recreation, Parks, Arts & REC-PLEX. The City of St. Peters is committed to providing quality Parks, Recreation and Art programs and facilities. With 20 parks covering 600 acres, an 18-hole golf course, 9 miles of pedestrian trails, a Community and Arts Center, the Senior Center and our 230,000 sq. ft. indoor recreation center, REC-PLEX/REC-PLEX South, we believe we have something for everyone.

  • August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area. This 6,987-acre area contains 3,000 acres of forest in addition to grassland, cropland, old fields, prairie, and wetlands. Facilities/features: boat rentals, picnic areas, pavilion, hiking trails, 43 fishing jetties, fishing docks, staffed firearms range, archery range, 5 viewing blinds, and a visitor center. The area also has 72 fishable lakes and ponds totaling 550 acres.

  • Marais Temps Clair Conservation Area. Marais Temps Clair Conservation Area is in north St. Charles County. This 935-acre area was once part of an expansive marsh ranging from St. Charles to Alton. The Marais Temps Clair marsh is an old oxbow of the Missouri River and was formed prior to the arrival of European settlers.

  • Howell Island Conservation Area. This island area is mostly forest surrounded by the Missouri River and Centaur Chute. Access is via a causeway over the chute.

  • Weldon Spring Conservation Area. Weldon Spring Conservation Area is in St. Charles County, near the town of Weldon Spring. The area is named after John Weldon, who came to this region in 1796 with a Spanish Land Grant for 425 acres. This acreage included the spring after which Weldon Spring is named.

  • Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge. The Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge is part of the Mark Twain National Wildlife Refuge Complex. The Complex was established in 1958 for the protection of migratory birds, and spans 350 miles along the Mississippi River in the states of Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
